The Importance of Travel: Why I Do It and Will Keep Doing It. Part 1.

Have you ever wondered why we travel?

I certainly do, quite often.

History documents that we humans are nomads by nature. That means our ancestors moved around looking for food and, perhaps, adventures. It’s only recently, thanks to agriculture humans started to settle down and create urban landscapes, in other words, cities.

In modern times, travel for some people means having a leisure escape to a fancy hotel, entire days for shopping, and hundreds of Instagram updates. Over the last decade, I’ve noticed a shift in perspective about traveling, largely influenced by SNS. Before, I did not ever think about these new terms such as “Travel Influencer”. If I knew earlier... haha.

Yet, for me, travel goes beyond a like on the internet. Travel has shaped my entire life!

Travel is a form of art, the art that through experiences has the ability to broaden our horizons. I believe there are more benefits than disadvantages from travelling. By stepping out from our comfort zones, we can encounter new cultures, gain diverse perspectives, learn about history, witness with our own eyes different landscapes and climates.

Travel is a transformative personal journey that goes beyond the action of moving from one place to another, it shapes both our understanding of the world and, more importantly, ourselves.

The memories and experiences collected through travel are most precious than any opulent possession that we can have in our life, forget about expensive and luxurious products that will remain behind when our journey on this planet concludes.
